We are all so thrilled Mugsey is home and he is overwhelmed with the outpouring of attention, love and support. The top 2 pictures to the left were taken just after Mugsey returned home. He is LOVING life!!
Mugsey and I wanted to find a way to "Pay It Forward", so to speak. So, we have formed http://www.mugseysmissinganimals.blogspot.com/. We want to help other Montgomery County animal lovers who are missing a beloved pet. We hope to bring them the joy we felt when Mugsey came home after 5 weeks, 11 hours. We are also trying to start a weekly column in The Gazette called "Mugsey's Missing Animals" - we want to feature a missing pet each week or important pet information for animal lovers. We do not know if the column will come to fruition, but we will continue our missing animal crusade in our blog.
Please, help to bring all lost animals home to their loved ones. If you know of any lost/missing animals, please feel free to email me at shanhay1@yahoo.com. Mugsey and I will be happy to feature them on our blog site and try to help them return home!.

MUGSEY'S HOMECOMING
Yes, after 5 weeks, 11 hours and thousands of emails, hundreds of flyer's, a dozen posters, blogging, twittering, praying, hoping, wishing, crying, craiglists postings, following many false leads, joining 10 local area dog clubs, faxing and calling dozens upon dozens of veterinarians, dog rescue groups and shelters, being on channel 9 news, being on HOT 99.5 The Kane Radio Show, getting an article with Mugsey's picture in The Gazette, driving, walking, searching, stalking, spying and many other crazy/desperate antics I won't mention.......MUGSEY IS FINALLY HOME!!!!!
Friday night, March 20, 2009 at approximately 9:30 PM, Mark, Amy and Katie pulled up to their house. As they were walking to their front door, a couple in a black SUV got out of their vehicle and said "We think we have your dog". After so many disappointments, Mark and Amy were skeptical. At that point the couple opened the back of their car and out jumped Mugsey. Mugsey, Mark, Amy and Katie were beside themselves!! The story the couple had was that they were from North Carolina visiting her mother. They had been walking around Gunners Lake in Germantown, MD Friday afternoon when Mugsey wandered up to them. Apparently they took Mugsey to the mothers house and while talking with their cousin, the cousin stated she had seen a flyer in the Hunan Best Restaurant window in Flower Hill about a missing bulldog. The couple went online, found Mugsey's blog and there they were. Mark and Amy were so thrilled they did not even think to ask questions.
Mark, Amy, Katie and their three dogs then ran over to my house. When I opened the front door, it took me a moment to realize that I was actually seeing Mugsey. Then tears, screaming, laughing, kissing and hugging ensued. What a wonderful, joyful and amazing moment!!
When Mark, Amy and Katie got back home, Katie looked up to her parents and said "We are finally a family again!"
Yes, we have many questions that will most likely never be answered (such as; why didn't the couple call, how did they get the address, where has Mugsey been for 5 weeks, who actually took him, why was he taken, etc. etc.)but we are just thrilled to have Mugsey home with his family where he belongs.
Amy and Katie took Mugsey to their veterinarian this morning. Mugsey has lost 5 pounds but otherwise appears to be in good health. And yes, he was microchipped today!
Tonight Mark to Mugsey to PetSmart to take down his missing dog poster and to get him a new collar and name tag along with some new toys and a new dog bed.
We want to thank each and every one of you for your love, support and prayers- Thank God for people like you and THANK GOD MUGSEY IS HOME!!

MUGSEY - Finally in The Gazette newspaper
As many of you know, we had been told that Mugsey would be in an article in The Gazette last Wednesday, March 11, 2009 but were shocked to find the article did not make it to print. Today I came home from work and was thumbing through the Gazette when I saw what appeared to be a picture of our Mugsey. I looked closer and there was an article and picture of Mugsey - I almost fell over (www.gazette.net/stories/03182009/gaitnew204807_32493.shtml). I had emailed the editor at The Gazette stating my displeasure with the cancellation of the article but was never informed it would be running this week. Now we all have to pray that the right people will see the article and call us to return our beloved Mugsey. We think the people who now have Mugsey may not even be aware he was stolen and we don't even want to ask questions - we just WANT HIM HOME!! Please call 240-997-1291 or 301-704-5675 with ANY information. You can remain anonymous and we are still offering a $1000 REWARD. Please, Please help us to bring Mugsey home to the family that raised him, loves him and misses him terribly!

Still no Mugsey
Sadly, our Mugsey still is not home. We had become very excited when we were told Mugsey would be in an article to be published in The Gazette but were dismayed when the article never made it to print. Today we received info someone may have spotted a man walking a dog that looked like Mugsey. We began searching the area but did not find him- we will continue searching!! The heartbreak continues every day, please help us to bring Mugsey home!!!

WHERE IS MUGSEY??
As you can tell from the title, we still have not found our Mugsey. We got a comment on our blogspot that our Mugsey is the star of the week on "helpfindrocky.blogspot.com". Rocky was found after missing for 35 days. Congratulations to Rocky and his Daddy and thank you to them both for putting Mugsey's blogspot on their website. Mugsey has now been missing now for 22 days and we are desperate to bring him home. We are hoping Mugsey will be featured in an upcoming article in the Gazette newspaper. If anyone has ANY information please call 240-997-1291, 301-704-5675, email shanhay1@yahoo.com, or comment on Mugsey's blogspot. We are still offering a large reward and are praying to bring our Mugsey home, where he belongs. Thank you for all of the comments and emails we have been receiving- your support means so much to us and to Mugsey!

OUR MUGSEY
It is time for Mugsey to come home. I was on The Kane Show, Hot 99.5 radio this morning spreading the word about Mugsey- Thank you Hot 99.5. and Kane for caring about animals enough to spread the word.
We also received a call today from a woman that stated she saw people load Mugsey into a black suburban or tahoe type vehicle from Mid County Highway near Shady Grove Middle School. Please call if you know ANYTHING about Mugsey - you can remain anonymous if you wish. We just want our Mugsey home! 240-997-1291, 301-704-5675 or shanhay1@yahoo.com. We are still offering a $1,000.00 REWARD for Mugsey's safe return.
